The "theory and key technology of mountain disaster prevention and control in Sichuan Tibet transportation corridor" project

Jointly completed by the Chengdu Institute of mountain disasters and environment of the Ministry of water resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and the geological environment monitoring station of the Tibet Autonomous Region, provided important decision-making basis and strong technical support for major national strategies. The project won the first prize of the 2020 science and technology award of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
It is understood that the project focuses on the scientific and technological problems that need to be solved urgently in the prevention and control of mountain disasters and the safety protection of traffic engineering under the "four high" environmental conditions of the Sichuan Tibet traffic corridor, puts forward the scientific research mode of theoretical research - technology research and development - disaster reduction application - Engineering Service collaborative innovation, and realizes the basic theory and key technology breakthroughs in the prevention and control of mountain disasters and the safety protection of major projects in the Sichuan Tibet traffic corridor. This achievement supports the upgrading and reconstruction of 110 kilometers of Sichuan Tibet highway and 20 prevention and control plans for major disaster points, optimizes the route selection of about 530 kilometers of Sichuan Tibet railway and Sichuan Tibet expressway, and supports more than 70 prevention and control plans for controlling disaster points, playing a key role in the planning, route selection and engineering construction of Sichuan Tibet railway and Sichuan Tibet expressway.
