Significant progress has been made in the G351 Jiajinshan Tunnel project, and it only takes 10 minutes to cross Jiajinshan after it is opened.

After 22 months of construction, the Jiajinshan Tunnel project on National Highway 351 has made significant progress - parallel pilot tunnels have been connected, 12 months ahead of the planned construction period.

The Jiajinshan Tunnel is the first ordinary trunk highway in China to be constructed using TBM (Full Face Hard Rock Tunnel Boring Machine). This construction method greatly reduces labor costs, improves construction efficiency and safety, and also sets multiple national records.

It is reported that the tunnel will be completed and opened on December 26, 2025, and the time for driving over Jiajin Mountain will be reduced from 1 hour to 10 minutes.
