WTC 2022-UMC View

From 22 April to 28 April 2022, the DFTU, Danish Society for Tunnels and Underground Works, will be host of the World Tunnel Congress 2022 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The conference, the exhibition and the ITA General Assembly will take place at the Bella Congress Center. It is located less than 15 minutes from the airport and less than 10 minutes from the city center. This venue has more than sufficient capacity both in terms of conference and exhibitions capacity to host the World Tunnel Congress.

Within the framework of the WTC 2022 Denmark and Scandinavia will present a number of large-scale infrastructure and tunneling projects. New Metro lines (Cityringen, Nordhavn and Sydhavn) are well under way. Learnings from the Great Belt Link and the Øresund Link have been used for getting the Femern Fixed Link started. In Norway, Sweden and Finland the construction of many other new mega infrastructure projects will start, for example the Norwegian E39 crossings. Lessons learned from all the projects will be shared at the conference, and site visits will be arranged to completed projects and projects under construction.
